All about the 10 Day Adelaide to the Red Centre.

Enjoy 10 days of visiting some of Australia’s most historic and breathtaking views.

  1. Day 1 Alligator Gorge

    Arrive Adelaide and begin the drive up to the desert in northern South Australia. The first day will venture to picturesque Alligator Gorge in Mount Remarkable National Park for a short hike to admire the scenery before driving to Melrose to camp

  2. Day 2 Coober Pedy

    Today involves several hours of driving; however this is needed to reach the unique desert town of Coober Pedy. Coober Pedy is a town that is predominantly underground. Whilst here you will spend a night sleeping in underground accommodation and enjoy an outback style Aussie dinner

  3. Day 3 Opal Mining Adventure

    Opal Mining Adventure: Today will be spent touring opal mines and museums where you will learn about the history and current operations of the outback town’s major industry

  4. Day 4 Red Centre

    Today is another day of driving through the centre of Australia up to Alice Springs. Whilst in Alice Springs you will learn about the significant landmarks of the Red Centre.

  5. Day 5 Kings Canyon

    You will spend today just outside of Alice Springs in the stunning Kings Canyon. You will begin with a walk around the rim of the canyon where you can admire the views into the green oasis known as the ‘Garden of Eden’ before you venture down inside

  6. Day 6 Uluru

    The morning will begin by driving to the world famous Uluru (Ayers Rock). You will participate in a walk to the base of the rock where you will be able to take several spectacular photos. Tonight will be spent camping under the stars near Uluru.

  7. Day 7 Coober Pedy

    The drive back to Adelaide begins today with the trip from Uluru to Coober Pedy. Whilst in Coober Pedy we will spend afternoon and evening with a tour around the town before dinner at a local Pub

  8. Day 8 Wadlata Outback Centre

    We begin today with the drive to Port Augusta which was formally one of central Australia’s major sea ports. Whilst in Port Augusta you will visit the Wadlata Outback Centre. This centre includes both Indigenous and Europeans histories of Australia

  9. Day 9 Bendleby Ranges

    Before driving back to Adelaide you visit the Bendleby Ranges where you will experience a blacksmith display whilst also helping with community service around the Homestead

  10. Day 10 Copper mining town

    Begin the drive back to Adelaide via Burra, a former copper mining town that once supplied ~90% of South Australia’s copper. You will also enjoy lunch at one of Burra’s famous bakeries, known for their Cornish Pasties
